How does 2FA work?
The process of 2FA is relatively simple and has roughly three steps:
- Logging in
You enter your username and password as usual. - Second Factor
After you enter your password, you will be asked to provide a second factor. This could be a one-time authentication code sent to your smartphone, a fingerprint read on a biometric scanner, or something else, depending on the method you choose. - Access Granted
If you successfully provide the second factor, you will be granted access to your account or system.
